I rewrote the article in order to give it some balance. The previous article was written from an anti-Mapes POV and provided no citations to support its claims. In making the revisions, I took directly from Truth and Duty, the report that led to Mapes' firing, the Democracy Now interview with Mapes that was cited, and other sources but I don't know how to cite in a Wikipedia article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.207.7.114 (talk) 22:17, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And CBS was right to fire her

Abu Ghraib was 'broken' by the military, who announced it to the media at a press conference.

That was done under the pressure of the imminent story to be aired on 60 Minutes. The military would not have "broken" the story if it was not for the 60 Minutes story. --Asbl 20:24, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The military investigation was already in progress before Mapes and the Military did announce it first, that being the definition of 'broke'. August 30, 2006

I edited the page, and removed the link to the offical page, as it was no longer there.--91.107.194.120 (talk) 03:40, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That was a rather Mapes-friendly entry. Her own father said she's a radical feminist with an axe to grind. 60 Minutes used to be great. Such a shame. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.27.45.187 (talk) 17:33, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
