Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Ludraman
(27/3/0) ended 11:25 28 October 2004 (UTC)
Ludraman, or John Collision has been here longer than I have, although due in part to poor internet access, he hasn't had as many edits as I have. His participation since he came back online, and since his last RFA request has increased significantly. I have never seen any controversial or dubious edits by Ludraman, and he has been a level-headed editor. Ludraman is of course, a fellow Irish Wikipedian, so I can't claim to be completely unbiased. His edit history however, and reputation should speak for themselves.

- Happy to, particularly considering the opposition of the marauding edit counter. Ambi 13:44, 21 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Filiocht 13:57, Oct 21, 2004 (UTC) Declaring an interest as a fellow Irish Wikipedian. Regardless of nationality, I consider him a hardworking contributor, despite the low number of edits (these things are relative, after all). His work setting up and supporting the Wikipedia:Irish wikipedians' notice board is what sways me most.

- Support. Glad I wandered by this page and noticed his nomination. He did good work on the Tutorial when we were first putting it together. Isomorphic 19:17, 21 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
- A. There seems to be a lack of sysops on VfD, so I would be happy to help out there, but the main thing would be dealing with vandalism. I still (though not as much of late) patrol the New Pages a lot and would help out there a good bit. I would be more than happy to help out with any other sysoppy things also if the need arose.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A. I feel my best contributions have been outside the main namespace, probably. As my poetic friend mentioned above, I started the Irish Wikipedians' notice board (I am suprised and delighted with how successful it turned out to be) and this has resulted in many spin-offs (I'm still wondring whether to take the imitators to court over trademark infringement :) and also am heavily involved with the Irish and Literature cotws. Of late, I have been doing a lot of catagorisation (such as the cities in spain - see Category:Cities of Spain). Check out my brag list on my user page for the articles I contributed to. Oh, and yes, I do graphs as well such as ones here and here.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and will deal with it in the future?
- A. Like I said in my nomin, AFAIK the only conflict I've ever been in was over Irish breakfast. No-one got dragged into edit warring, instead we argued it around on the talk page, and the article after the conflict was better than the one before. Thanks for your time.
