Hello...
[edit]Please feel free to leave me little love notes, critiques, or point out something you think I might be interested in.
Now that's a long list.
My pet wiki projects, and secret desires. (open source secret that is)
[edit]Although the primary objective of Wikipedia is the formation of an encyclopedia, it is my observation that a great deal of energy (time) is invested and lost in the Wild-West-Wiki occurring under the "discussion" tabs. I don't mind it one little bit, but it kind of misses the point of building a knowledge base when good folk are shot through the head as they innocently wander into a six-gun town.
I feel there is no better way to build a truly awesome (if that word dates me, so be it) base of knowledge than through a collaborative effort such as this. But WeWiki are young, cock-sure, and scare the poop out of incredibly wise people who have much to contribute, yet try and quit (if try at all) because of our modern net-rebel ways. I intend to always remain a global net-rebel myself, but if we don't mind some of our elders, Wikipedia will be the lesser for it. Are you track'n what I'm lay'n down Kemosabe?
- I'll be haunting the halls of group-think, and how it completely rots the brain.
- Conflict resolution by way of keyboard aikido, and a yin-yang acceptance cyberspace and the wikiverse.
- Mental Tai Chi, even through the annals of ludicrous porn.
- Forum developments and intelligent think tank projects.
- The biographies of people I admire.
- The projects of people who inspire.
- And the dire ramifications of activities that stomp upon the dignity of others.
Like I said, are you track'n what I'm lay'n down, Kemosabe?
Happy trails.. And always remember to invite a stranger to sit a while at your campfire, 'cause you might need the favor returned someday.
