I've been online since the early 1980's, starting with BBS' and BITNET before the Internet became a thing. I am currently employed by the Internet Society (ISOC) as the Director, Internet Technology, focused on helping build sustainable technical communities and also researching low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites for Internet access (ex. Starlink, OneWeb). (NOTE: I do not edit the Internet Society's article on Wikipedia due to WP:COI.)
If you want to say hello, I occasionally stream editing of Wikipedia live on Twitch (danyork324). I no longer have a specific schedule as I did during the pandemic..
Topics of interest:
Pretty much anything about the Internet, particularly its infrastructure.
