Articles which I wrote, but which were deleted
[edit]Occasionally, I have the unpleasant experience of learning that an article I created wasn't deemed "encyclopedic." There is a powerful deletionist lobby that seeks to remove all articles about topics not deemed "notable." Instead of letting them be deleted outright, I have moved them to my user space. This preserves their edit histories, so that if circumstances or opinions later change and the topic somehow becomes "notable," it can simply be moved back to the main article space.
- Hierarchypedia: An online encyclopedia about the world's political, economic, military, and religious power structures. As it turned out, the decision of the authorities to delete this article proved to be in the right: within weeks, the website that this article featured was shut down.
- List of born-again Christian laypeople: A list of well-known individuals who are known as born-again Christians. I should have known how controversial this list would prove to be, with others (nonbelievers) insisting on removing huge numbers of names. In the end, it got deleted.
