ap course

[edit]

is ap course really offered in high school?

Response to above comment: Yes, there are ap courses in high school. Most high schools offer several AP courses. However, Dominican International School only offers two AP courses so far - AP United States History for both 11th and 12th grade (which I am attending right now) and AP Calculus for 12th grade. Rumors of more AP classes for DIS has been speculated.

EDIT: Guess what, it's me again. I moved recently, but I heard that DIS is getting 2 new AP courses, and have changed the article accordingly.

By the way, if you are a student from Dominican International School, please act responsibly and do not vandalize the page. Try to add to this article instead of taking away from it. If you are wondering, yes, I am a student as well. We all know the problems of the school, and blatantly attacking the school does not help.

I think DIS has good ap programs. I got a 1 on AP Literature three years ago.

i am a 8th grade student in dominican

[edit]

Viv: hey, i am a 8th grade student in dominican international school. I do not think the school is excellent. The quality is only going downer and downer.

To Viv - I am a teacher and administrator at Dominican International School. I have 30 years teaching experience and I am the holder of a Ph.D.in Education. I think I am very capable of evaluating my place of employment, as I can pick and choose wherever I want to work. DIS is an EXCELLENT school. If you are so unhappy with the school, why are you still there? Nobody is forcing you to attend the school.

I am also surprised at the person who cites two AP course, what about the other ten? By the way, DIS had some of the best AP results in Taiwan and globally during 2014. See the school's website for further information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Merenvin (talkcontribs) 07:28, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

To Vivi - you need to talk to your grammar teacher urgently. "....downer and downer..." is not proper English. Remember teacher and principal don't make the school great. The student does. Did you know 15% of Taiwan economy is related to DS graduates? Did you know one of DS graduate is the integral part of human DNA mapping that his professor and team received the Nobel prize? We went on to Harvard, Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, Cornell and we are proud of our school still..

To the teacher with PHD. Thank you for hanging in there while the school go through construction and accreditation. Must have been like fixing the engine while the car still running. We have always been a smaller school than TAS but we are proud of the school no less. Thank you again!!

Needs a rewrite

[edit]

Preferably by someone not closely connected to the school. As the article stands, much of the article is written with a very biased and promotional tone. If sources outside of the school itself are that scarce, then this article should be deleted. Dewdropsdrops (talk) 06:51, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
