I don't see wat u mean. they're clearly two different categories. I see there are some efforts being made by some pov-pushers to delete the category 'cities in turkish kurdistan'. however, as long as this category exists, this city falls in its scope. so I'm adding it back. please discuss here before reverting again, if u wish to do so Soapyyy 06:05, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't per tons of WP:V issues. The other cat is sufficient. We are talking about a controversial and unofficial region with undefined borders and not about some defined administrative region. Even Anatolia is more clearly defined, but it doesn't possess such cats - that's normal because it is a geographic region to begin with. The dispute as to whether it falls into the scope of that category can go on for eternity. Please refrain from calling other editors as "pov-pushers". thanks. As long as the category exists, I'm assuming it is to be used. If the category isn't to be used, then it will be deleted. I will wait until the vote about the category unfolds, but if the result is 'keep', I will add back the category, because this is precisely the kind of articles the category was created for. I didn't call you a 'pov-pusher' specifically. thx. Soapyyy 06:31, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Still WP:V issues. That Tunceli is Turkish Kurdistan is a matter of interpretation. That's all I am trying to say and is the main problem to begin with. Still won't matter because there are no cats like "Cities in Anatolia" either. It just seems that some people wish that there would be some sort of a different country there, but there isn't. Until that day, there is no logic to such inclusions. That's all I am trying to say. Baristarim 07:01, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tunceli law

[edit]

Is the "Law on Administration of the Tunceli Province" directly related with this city ? The Kudish alternative name Mamekî and Zazaki alternative name is Mamekiye, not Dersim. Takabeg (talk) 09:00, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Dersim was the name given to an area which is almost Tunceli Province, and not the city. 12:25, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

In Zazaki People Say Dêsim

[edit]

The wright name of the historically region wasn't call Dersim by Zaza people. It is and was called Dêsim. The scripture "Dersim" was an act of conforming the name into (ottoman) turkish like they did with Muzur into Munzur or other non-turkish names like Trapezund into Trabzon, Angora into Ankara and so on. Therefore it is not true to write "Der-Sim" has the meaning of "Silver-Gate" (Der - Gate ; Sim - Silver). Because it would be just an untrue story. Weşiya sıma!
