Gun Politics in the United States

Nice job on handling GunsKill. Good use of sources to defend your position. I can't stand it when people base their entire argument on emotion. Just because that jerk is afraid of guns he thinks that nobody should have them. I do feel that fear is the only real motivation behind gun control advocates.

That's true... fear is a powerful motivator, sadly. When somebody fears something, logic no longer applies, at which point the best strategy is either diversion to another subject where they are no longer afraid, or education so they no longer fear the subject... Either way, I respect the right to own guns, both because I don't fear them any more than I do knives or pointy sticks, and the evidence seems to indicate that gun rights help both somewhat reduce crime and at least deter tyranny... -FrYGuY 07:03, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, FrYGuY. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
