Baseball coach?

Everyone is coached by *someone*, but even given the shaky premise that this is a notable fact (in a surprisingly scanty article about an all-time great like Pilote), the only "Frank J. Durante Sr." I could find on Google was a Connecticut fellow who died in 2002 and was twenty years younger than Pilote. "Frank Durante" + "baseball" turned up empty as well.
