Regions to buy and taste

[edit]

I used to buy this chocolate all the time in Australia, was in the United Kindom and France for the last few years, was delighted to see that I could buy this chocolate up there too. Returned to Australia, still on the shelves. So I can confirm that it is available in France and Britain, as well as Australia of course.

As for the taste, it is very good for a "cheap" chocolate, very smooth with a slight nutty taste. Very nice, a huge cut above generic choclates and better quality over even Cadburys or that popular American one, Hershys I believe. JayKeaton 14:26, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Appropriate?

Is the above appropriate and applicable? Sorry I don't read non-english well. Jasynnash2 (talk) 15:56, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Its Turkish, but when I ran it through an online translator, it came out with this : Yalova Ili Çiftlikköy A daze marketten that is found at its borough Being just its number my anamnesis dığ But Milka M-joy that is met each in 7 in my hand I received cocoa and my complimentary product expression inscribed besides hand states futile away Milyonlarca of its chocolate product üstünde Adet Milka on products in 1 that is found You won wafer ız In the expression writes Ben de natural is Milka Ür. You will probably need a person who speaks Turkish to translate it properly. --92.2.179.213 (talk) 20:41, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled III – Croatian origin

[edit]

milka's original recipe was created by the Croatian chocolate maker (now part of Kras) and STOLEN during WWI (german annexing Croatia as a Nazi puppet state) and they created it as their own (seeing as Croatia at that point was powerless and virtually had no economy after the fall of the first Yugoslavia). MILKA is a name that's as common as 'MARY' in the states...in fact my grandma's name is Milka! and their products all have Croatian history- esp their 'kit-kat' cimilar chocolate 'LEO' (my dad's name) you guessed it- i'm Croatian. this is something that will always bother me i though i'd share. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.2.43.76 (talk) 12:48, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Milka is a popular female name in Bulgaria also. I know because I'm Bulgarian (if you'd care to know). Have a nice time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.152.151.235 (talk) 18:07, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What on earth has your grandma`s 1st name to do with chocolate ? You need to get your facts right: Croatia was not annexed during World War II. For the first time in modern history, it became independent in 1941. Far from being a "puppet state", Pavelic`s Ustasha regime was a fascist tyranny in its own right which belonged to the Italian (not the German) sphere of interest on the Balkans.
Your story can`t be true for one reason: Notwithstanding the fact that it is no longer produced in Switzerland, Milka remains a Swiss product. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.6.212.101 (talk) 22:52, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Strange news articles in the UK

[edit]

For example this one in the Belfast Telegraph, and even some in trade publications, implying that Milka was only even "soft launched" in the UK last year. I don't understand this, as my local Woolworths certainly stocked Milka bars on a regular basis for several years before that, and I remember eating it (in Britain) in the 1990s. It isn't new to the UK at all, so why are Kraft saying it is? 86.158.191.202 (talk) 02:36, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
