Premiere
[edit]I've not added details of the premiere here because the only sources I have to hand (which are not the greatest sources - I'll check in better ones later this week) disagree: one says Dec 30, 1928 in Philadelphia, another says Feb 19, 1929 in London. I suspect the former is correct, but I'm playing it safe and leaving both out until I check. If anybody knows the right details for sure, feel free to stick them in. --Camembert
- I didn't get to the sources I'd hoped for, but Paul Griffith's Bartók (1984, part of the Master Musicians Series) has it as Feb 19, so I'm going to put that in. It can easily be changed later if it turns out to be wrong. --Camembert
