User:Jacob1207
I, Jacob1207, have been a Wikipedian since February of 2004, but made anonymous contributions prior to that. I mainly contribute to history and government related articles, especially those concerning my home state of Maryland. Below you'll find a little bit about me along with the contributions that I am most proud of, a small but growing body of work.

Hobbies and interests
[edit]In addition to being a Wikipedian, I am an amateur vexillologist and backyard astronomer. I am also an avid reader. Among non-fictional works, I enjoy biograpies, histories, and works on politics, philosophy, and theology. I have enjoyed works by Niccolò Machiavelli, Edward Gibbon, and John Stuart Mill.
Fantasy and Science fiction are my favorite fictional genres and I am fond of many books by Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, and Orson Scott Card. Additionally, I am fond of the Harry Potter books.
These and a few of my other interests are indicated in the Wikiboxes to the right. Naturally, questions and comments left on my talk page will be well received.
About my contributions
[edit]I have found that I most enjoy working on small- to mid-sized articles, especially biographical ones. A considerable number of my contributions are to articles concerning my home state of Maryland and other items of local interest. Recently, I have become interested in expanding some of the articles related to Fundamentalist Christianity, especially the Reconstructionist brand thereof, and Christian Universalism.
Though most of my work on Wikipedia involves starting articles or adding content to existing ones, I also spend some time contributing to Wikipedia by voting and commenting on deletions, featured article candidates, creating requested articles and the like. I never create stubs.
