When you get a chance, drop us a note at Wikipedia:New user log to introduce yourself. You can sign your name there and on talk pages by using " ~~~ " for your username and " ~~~~ " for your username and a timestamp. We normally do this on discussion pages as a courtesy, but not in articles.

Now, specifically about the scuffleball article. You wrote: Just a Comment. The sport is real, it's not fictional. It has been played, and it has a set of cohesive rules. It does exist. I thought Wikipedia was an information source. I had no idea that just because someone has not heard of something that it deserves to be deleted. Delete it if it doesn't pass this litmus test, but 'not notable' is quite arbitrary. scuffleball 22:24, Aug 11, 2004
Wikipedia is an information source, but it's not a source of all information. We don't for example have entries for every person on the telephone book, although that is information too. And the suggestion that it should be deleted is not just because someone hasn't heard of it. Some over-zealous editors do seem to list articles fo no better reason than this, but the guidelines and policies hopefully make it clear that this is not good either.
