My name is Chris. I'm a college student from Iowa, United States of America, although I originally hail from the state of Illinois. I am a fifth generation Illinoisan. My ancestry is Swedish, Norwegian, Italian and Scotch-Irish (and perhaps) English. My great great grandfather was born in 1875 in Calhoun County, Illinois, he is my oldest link to the state.

My Italian ancestry comes from Lucca, Italy, specifically the towns of Lunata, Capannori and Ponti di Pietro. My great grandfather was an Italian immigrant to Chicago, Illinois. Other members of his family also went to Calumet, Michigan and St. Louis, Missouri.

My Swedish ancestry comes from Dalsland, Sweden. My great grandparents were immigrants to Missoula, Montana. My other great great grandparents went to Chicago, Illinois. They were from Halland, Sweden. Another set of great great grandparents were probably from Stockholm, Sweden. They immigrated to Chicago in the 1870s or 1880s.

My Norwegian ancestry comes from Drammen, Norway and Honefoss, Norway. My great great grandparents were immigrants to Chicago in the early 1890s.

My Scots-Irish ancestry is somewhat unclear. My great grandmother was born in Chicago in 1903. Her mother was from Georgia, and her father most likely from Illinois. Her parents appear in the 1900 U.S. Census living together in Madison County, Alabama. I'm uncertain how they could have met.
