I have a B.S. and an M.A. in Computer Science, and am now employed at P.N.N.L. doing research and development in the fields of Graph Theory, Network Science and Information visualization. The topic of my Masters thesis is Dynamic Map Label Deconfliction, a subfield of Automatic label placement. Recently I was a software developer for the Starlight Information Visualization System.

In more distant history I earned a B.A. in Theology and a Master's Degree in Divinity and spent 10 years in full-time Christian pastoral ministry.
