Image copyright problem with Image:Chafee.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Chafee.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. --OrphanBot 09:28, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
Greetings. I fixed your edit at Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. In the future, if you're not sure about an edit, I recommend using the "Show preview" button, next to the "Save page" button, to make sure your edit worked right. I got the proper syntax, after noticing your edit wasn't showing up, by going to template:Infobox Public transit and seeing how the template included a website reference. You might want to do that next time. Thanks for your effort. - Denimadept (talk) 21:53, 18 August 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but your recent edits, such as those to Cook Partisan Voting Index, appear to be intentional disruptions designed to illustrate a point. Edits designed for the deliberate purpose of drawing opposition, including making edits you do not agree with or enforcing a rule in a generally unpopular way, are highly disruptive and can lead to a block or ban. If you feel that a policy is problematic, the policy's talk page is the proper place to raise your concerns. If you simply disagree with someone's actions in an article, discuss it on the article talk page or, if direct discussion fails, through dispute resolution. If consensus strongly disagrees with you even after you have made proper efforts, then respect the consensus, rather than trying to sway it with disruptive tactics. Please also note that your are approaching editing behavior that could be considered edit warring. Thank you. --IJBall (talk) 22:52, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
