Crofters' Party
[edit]I believe several Crofters' Party (Highland Land League) MPs were elected in this general election. Perhaps they counted themselves also as Independent Liberals? Or what? Laurel Bush 10:59, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC).
Salisbury's first Government
[edit]The PM going into this election was Salisbury. The Gladstone government of 1880-85 had resigned in June over a defeat in the Commons, and Salisbury had taken over a minority government since then, largely running with Parliament not in session. The decision to dissolve had been his. He only resigned in February 1886 when the new House met and a Liberal amendment to the Loyal Address was carried by the Commons. 188.28.17.76 (talk) 08:16, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
Change in PV percentage
[edit]The change in PV percentage doesn't add up with the previous election. I cannot tell whether it is in error or something I am missing. Comrade TruthTeller (talk) 21:07, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
