Welcome to Wikipedia! In case you haven't already found them, some useful links are Wikipedia:Welcome, newcomers, Wikipedia:Naming conventions, Wikipedia:Manual of Style, and Wikipedia:The perfect article. Most questions are answered at Wikipedia:Help; if you have a question not answered there, then you can post it to the Village pump. Good work on Devil's Night, by the way.

A word of warning: when comments are posted, the raw text appears without vocal inflections or body language; the lack of these nonverbal cues tends to make the raw text appear to be more terse/rude than the sender actually intended. This is stating the obvious, but people seem to forget it in the heat of the moment. So my word of warning is this: don't be surprised if someone makes comments to you that seem unnecessarily brusque; and try not to take it personally. It is a side-effect of the medium.

Brighton Mall:

This article was nominated for deletion, by someone else--I suggest you very quickly add information about the major stores and the changes--with articles from local papers at least. Note that strip malls are almost always NN. DGG (talk) 23:54, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Brighton Mall

[edit]

I've nominated Brighton Mall, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Brighton Mall satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brighton Mall and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Brighton Mall during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Ten Pound Hammer(((Broken clamshellsOtter chirps))) 20:21, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ImageRemovalBot

[edit]

The bot does not, has not, and will not delete images. If it's removing an image from a page, it's because somebody else has already deleted the image. --Carnildo 21:36, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:RevSmithSpeaking.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:RevSmithSpeaking.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 20:30, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
