Merge Union Academy to here
[edit]Union Academy (Macon County, NC) doesn't (IMO) establish enough notability for a separate article and is a target of vandalism. I think the useful information there should be merged here. (John User:Jwy talk) 18:23, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

- Create a paragraph or two in this article that contains notable information about the school. I don't see much on the page that is especially notable, but my impression may be influenced by the goofy vandalism that has been added at times. (John User:Jwy talk) 16:44, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- Most of Union Academy (Macon County, NC) is non-notable. In order of sections: the intro paragraph and the Founding section are OK, but the Staff section is pretty much useless (what's the point of stating the exact number of teachers and the name of one of the staff?) The School budget section is borderline worthless to the general audience, the Separation section is OK but doesn't really deserve its own section. The Notability section really should be merged into the intro. The Water issues section seems a bit out-of-place (why mention these kinds of minor problems unless that particular incident is major enough to be notable to someone not directly involved with the school?); and the Technology section seems useless (who cares what equipment/software the school uses, anyway?), and the bit about "scary noises" is POV and borderline defamatory. The Black board section looks completely non-notable. As for the Related articles section, I see no reason to link to NETGEAR---should we now add a link to NETGEAR in the articles of every single school, company, institution, etc., that just happens to have a piece of NETGEAR equipment on their premises? It has nothing to do with the subject at hand at all. Besides all this, there is precious little in terms of reliable references.
- If we trim down all this fluff from the article, there's not that much left to justify a separate article. Regardless, whether or not the merge happens, I think we should trim down this article.—Tetracube (talk) 20:53, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm on it, after all I was just using what other people were going towards. If I'm not mistaken it's mostly been Podunk editing it anyway. Slip Stupid (talk) 05:17, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
